Instructor - Nat Seelen

Nat is a senior at Brown where he is majoring in Music, playing in the Smokin' Reed Saxtet and Yarmulkazi (Brown's premier klezmer band), and finishing out his term as the president of the Brown University Orchestra. He graduated from Hingham High School in 2004 with a 1600 on his SATs, 5s on all six of his AP exams, and a smile on his face. At Hingham, he was president of the concert band and performed with the orchestra, jazz band, Mozart Ensemble, South Shore Conservatory Festival Wind Ensemble, and NEC jazz program, while participating in the Biology Club, National Honor Society, Drama Club, and Boy Scouts. He spent his weekends working at the Hull Lifesaving Museum, where he also participated in the open water rowing program.

Instructor - Jon Glapa

Jon is a sophomore at Harvard where he is majoring in Applied Mathematics in Geophysical Sciences, minoring in Economics, playing for the Harvard Men's Club Soccer team and working as an intramural referee. Jon graduated from Brookfield East High School in 2007. While he was there, Jon served as Class President for four years, was a member of the Student Council Executive Board for two years, obtained scores of 5 on five AP tests and scored a perfect 36 on the ACT. Jon also played varsity soccer for four years, including one year as co-captain, and helped lead his team to a national ranking and three state tournament appearances. When he's not cramming for a math test or finishing a problem set, Jon loves to be outside, attend concerts and run around with his dog, Herman.

Instructor - Mallory McQueen

Mallory is a senior at Dartmouth College where she is majoring in anthropology and minoring in sociology, as well as co-captaining the women's rugby club and serving as the alumnae chair of her sorority. In addition, she has participated in a French study abroad program for a term, and spent another term as a volunteer teacher in South Africa. She graduated cum laude from Pine Crest High School in 2005, where she captained the Varsity women's basketball team for 3 years, was recognized for 4 years by the French National Honors Society, and was a National Merit Semi-Finalist. She scored 1500 on the SATs (760 Verbal, 740 Math), and a perfect 800 on the Writing SAT II. In the little spare time she has between commitments, Mallory enjoys traveling, eating sushi and cookies, and playing in the sunshine.

Instructor - Tom Wang

Tom is a sophomore at Harvard, where he is majoring in Neurobiology, starting on the JV Tennis Team, and volunteering at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Tom graduated first in his class of 588 from Palatine High School in 2007. In high school, he received a 35 on the ACT (36 Math, 36 Reading, 35 English, 36 Science), a 2320 on the SAT (800 Math, 720 Critical Reading, 800 Writing), and a perfect 5 on each of his AP exams. Tom was a National Merit Finalist and recipient of the American Legion School Award, and he captained his school's Varsity Tennis Team and Mathematics Team. When he is not working as a tutor for Ivy Insiders, Tom enjoys playing the piano, traveling, and attempting to sing.

Instructor - Helena Fitzgerald

Helena Fitzgerald attended Columbia University and New York University and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in English and American Literature. She received 800s on both the Writing and Critical Reading SAT sections, as well as on the Literature SAT II. She also received a score of "5" (the highest possible score) on AP test in Literature, European History, and Spanish. She has trained with and tutored for both Kaplan and the Princeton Review, often raising student's scores by more than 100 points per section. She is currently working as a freelance writer while applying to graduate school for her Ph.D in English Literature.

Instructor - Elizabeth Meenen

Elizabeth is a doctoral student at the University of Texas at Dallas. She graduated in May 2006 from Towson University Honors College with a double major in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Spanish. Before that, she graduated from Parkland High School in 2002 with a 4.0 GPA and was recognized as a National Merit Scholar. She scored a 1530 on the old version of the SAT and has been tutoring students in the SAT since high school.

Instructor - Viraj Vora

Viraj is a rising sophomore at the University of Pennsylvania, where he is studying Business and International Relations through the Huntsman Program. He is a member of the International Affairs Association on campus and has worked for the Daily Pennsylvanian. Viraj graduated from Wayland High School in 2007 as a National Merit Scholar Finalist. Viraj received a perfect score on the math portion of the SAT, scoring a 2290 overall. He was president and founder of the Model UN club and co-managed a human rights campaign called "Helping Hands for Haiti", raising over $5000 for health care in Haiti. Viraj has over 4 years over tutoring experience through high school During his spare time, Viraj enjoys traveling, watching movies, and goofing off with friends and family. He also plays soccer and volleyball and loves watching his favorite sports teams on television.

Instructor - Bryan Chu

Bryan is a sophomore at Brown where he is majoring in Applied Mathematics. Outside of class, he plays three instruments (piano, clarinet, and alto sax) and serves as Assistant Conductor of the Brown Band, is a member of the Table Tennis Team, and dabbles in swing dancing. Bryan was valedictorian at Algonquin Regional High School and received a 2390 on his SATs (800s in Critical Reading and Writing) as well as 5s in 6 AP exams. He also captained the Cross Country and Track teams, was heavily involved in music, and was a high scorer on the math team. When he has a free moment and decides to do something that isn't related to music, Bryan enjoys running, watching baseball, eating, and sleeping.

Instructor - Nolan Green

Nolan is a member of the Yale College Class of 2012. During high school, he received scores in the 99th percentile on all three sections of SAT and all four parts of the ACT, as well as three SAT IIs. Over the last two years, he has been named a National Merit Commended Student, AP Scholar with Distinction, and National Hispanic Recognition Scholar Finalist, all awards based on his standardized test-taking performance. Nolan has been teaching with Ivy Insiders since 2007 and tutoring since 2006.

Instructor - Beeni Mathew

Beeni graduated 2nd in her class from Centereach High School. She is currently a junior at Brown where she is majoring in Commerce, Organizations & Entrepreneurship. On campus, Beeni is involved with organizing Pan Asian events and is on the executive board of Engineers Without Borders. While in high school, Beeni was named an AP Scholar with honors and was the recipient of numerous community awards. She graduated with high scores on her SATs (760 Verbal, 710 Math) and a GPA of 3.9. In her free time, she'll most likely be found engrossed in a book, dancing along to the radio, or alternatively doing both.
